Ra Ra Raleigh

I was doing some late night reading last night on one of my new favorite blogs and came across some very familiar images.  They were from The Raleigh, a glam Miami Hotel that is as impeccably designed as it's guests are dressed.  Built in the 40's by L. Murry Dixon, this hotel has only become more popular as it has aged.  Here are some vintage shots from the 40s, 50s and 60s.  I would love to have one (or all) of these framed.

A couple years ago, the sister of one of my close friends had her wedding at this Miami Landmark.  The wedding photos were beautiful mostly due to the gorgeous couple and their families; however, I have to admit to swooning over the backdrop as well.  I love finding inspiration in unexpected places.  I highly doubt I'll be designing a hotel anytime in the near future, but the colors of the pool and accents can be used anywhere.  Plus, the Hollywood glam/classic/preppy decor is to die for.  Here are some photos circa now.

My bags are packed and I'm ready to hit the beach and cruise around town on one of their beach cruisers.  Pretty, pretty please?!?
