Weekend Thrifting!

This weekend I was lucky enough to stumble across some fantastic garage/estate sales.  As most of you probably know, sales like these can really be hit or miss.  It is always great to stop and look because you never know what goodies you will come across.  Plus, the prices are usually unbeatable and you are recycling home goods, which you can feel good about!  I totally hit the jackpot this weekend.  Check out my finds...

VINTAGE TRUNK (!)

And thanks to my mom's great eye, a VINTAGE SUITCASE that compliments the trunk perfectly!

I think I could use the trunk for a coffee or side table.  Or I could stack the two and use them as a nightstand...  So many possibilities, so I gathered some inspiration photos for these babies...

I also scored this gorgeous LEATHER BACKGAMMON SET that is in pristine condition.

The colors make me think Hermes, which is a wonderful thing. :)

My other steals included a pair of BRASS LAMPS (for which I will have to find some killer shades), a statue of THE THINKER, a BLACK TRAY and a cute WHITE VASE.

I think I will paint this tray a great color and put in on the coffee table or possibly in the bathroom for soap, etc.  It was such a great shape, there was no leaving it behind.

I couldn't pass this guy up.  At $3, he will be a great addition to our new built in bookcase.

As will this cute vase.

So in total I spent $22.  Can you believe it?  We have a couple more weeks before we get into our new place, but once I find a home for these goodies, you'll be the first to know!
