Look For Less: Modern Sitting Area

I usually don't lean towards modern furniture, but ever since I bookmarked this image, I can't get it out of my head.  I cannot remember the designer (please let me know if you know) but I love the Barcelona chairs in two different colors and the bright wall art.  Plus, the structure itself is very ornate so the modern decor offers a really nice balance.

I did a super simple recreation of this look.

Not quite as exciting on the computer, I know, but take these elements into your space and it would be fantastic.  It would be really fun to play around with bright prints.  There are SO many sources for art prints...I went right etsy, but there is art.com and many more.  Just google exactly what you are looking for, ex: neon pink prints.  The inspiration image had neutral walls, so I would go with a light linen-y color.  If you're home doesn't have ornate architectural features like this space, create some interest with an ornate piece or two.  I chose this cool white mirror, but you could play around with frames or have an ornate mantle installed, even without a fireplace.  Lastly, the Barcelona chairs are such a classic piece that they really make this space.  I would love to be able to splurge on the original Mies van der Rohe version, but since we are working with a budget, I went straight to a warehouse source.  I've linked all the products up for you below!

Prints - $30-$40
Paint color - $4 sample
Mirror - $190
Barcelona chairs with ottoman - $268 for black, $368 for yellow

I hope to post for you tomorrow but I'll be off on my girls weekend getaway, so I might not get the chance.  So if I don't have the opportunity, see you Monday!
