A Bar of Your Own

It's no secret (if you've read this blog or seen photos of my living room) that I'm a huge advocate of having a bar in your home.  And no I'm not a lush.  I just think it's a great way to add sophistication to your design and is makes glasses and such accessible when entertaining (which I love).  Some bar cart images...

It's really so easy to get a great looking bar set up and there aren't any rules or requirements.  I would start with a long console table, bar or bar cart and start layering it with accessories.  Alcohol is of course usually in the mix.

Then take an ice bucket, like this one:

Some glam cocktail glasses, perhaps these:

 Or these:

Maybe a tray:

And a set of glass candlesticks:

With colorful tapers:

And a framed print:

And you're all set!  Cheers!

  1. Cheers. We have all our liquor in our super cluttered pantry. I'd love a way to store/display things properly.

  4. Ummmm, scratch that. I just realized that pic of Lillet is probably not at your house. Waaaah.

And....this is why I have guest posters. Traveling for work = I'm tired.
